Module Feature

IS220YAICS1A belongs to GE Mark VIe control system YAICS series analog I/O pack, dedicated for power turbine control application.

It supports multi-channel 4-20mA and 0-10V analog signal sampling and output, 16-bit high resolution conversion, channel isolation design to suppress EMC interference. It communicates with UCS controller via high-speed Ethernet backplane bus, supports hot swap function. The module collects field transmitter signals and outputs analog command to valve positioners and actuators. It has built-in signal range supervision, suitable for boiler, gas turbine and combined cycle power generation control cabinet.

Working principle

Field analog measurement signals enter the module, the internal ADC converts analog value into digital data and uploads to Mark VIe main controller.

Controller executes control algorithm and sends setpoint back to this module, the DAC converts digital command into standard 4-20mA / 0-10V analog signal to drive field control equipment. The module continuously monitors signal quality and reports wire break, short circuit and over-range fault to the system.

Onboard components

Analog signal conditioning circuit, ADC/DAC chip, FPGA communication processor, isolated Ethernet transceiver, surge protection circuit, status indicator panel, edge backplane connector, terminal matching circuit.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power supply, link running, communication active, signal fault and module health status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects signal open circuit, short circuit, out-of-range, backplane link loss, over-temperature and internal hardware error. Fault information can be checked on Mark VIe ToolboxST software.

Installation
