Honeywell CC-TD0R01 Relay Output Module Unit

Module Feature

CC-TD0R01 belongs to Honeywell Experion PKS series I/O modules. It is a rack-mounted discrete relay output card for Honeywell DCS platform. This module provides isolated dry relay contact outputs, receiving control commands from the controller to drive field solenoid valves, motor starters, alarm horns and auxiliary switchgear interlock circuits. Each channel adopts independent relay isolation design, separating DCS control side and field power loop. Built-in channel status monitoring, short-circuit protection and surge suppression circuit. It communicates with the controller through the I/O backplane bus. Widely used in petrochemical, refining and power plant DCS cabinets for safety interlock and sequence control.

Working principle

The controller sends output command through backplane bus. Onboard logic circuit drives corresponding relay coil. The dry contact changes ON/OFF state to switch the field load circuit. Each relay channel has status feedback signal, the module uploads channel state and fault information back to the DCS controller. When abnormal condition is detected, the module reports fault alarm to the control system.

Installation

Cut off I/O chassis power before operation. Insert Honeywell CC-TD0R01 module into matched backplane slot and lock the latch. Wire field load circuits to relay contact terminals. Download I/O configuration, test each channel on-off action before power restoration.

Diagnostic

Module communication loss: poor backplane contact or bus configuration error. Channel fails to act: relay coil burnout or terminal wiring break. Intermittent output: contact oxidation or load surge interference.
