Module Feature

HVFDSD3C0300G100A belongs to Honeywell SmartVFD HVAC series, dedicated variable frequency drive for heating, ventilation and air conditioning equipment. This 30HP model adopts three-phase 460VAC input, designed to adjust motor running speed dynamically according to temperature, pressure and flow setpoints. It supports built-in PID control, multiple communication protocols including BACnet, Modbus TCP and N2 for seamless connection with Honeywell building automation system. Equipped with graphical LCD keypad for local parameter setup, trend view and fault diagnosis. NEMA 1 indoor cabinet structure, no built-in bypass contactor. Widely used in commercial building air handler, chilled water pump, cooling tower fan and exhaust fan energy-saving control.

Working principle

Three-phase AC power enters rectifier circuit and converts to DC. IGBT inverter module outputs adjustable frequency and voltage AC power to drive induction motor. The internal PID controller receives feedback signal from field sensor and automatically adjusts output frequency to maintain process setpoint. It continuously monitors motor current, temperature and drive status, triggers protection shutdown on overcurrent, overvoltage, overload and overheat faults. Operation data and alarm events can be uploaded to BAS host via communication bus.

Installation

Cut off three-phase input power before operation. Mount Honeywell HVFDSD3C0300G100A on solid wall with enough ventilation clearance. Wire input power terminals and motor output terminals. Set motor nameplate parameters, PID loop and communication address, perform motor auto-tune and run test.

3-phase power input terminals, motor output terminals, analog/digital I/O terminals, communication port.

Diagnostic

Drive fault trip: overload, overheating or short circuit on motor cable. Communication offline: wrong protocol setting or network cable fault. Motor cannot run: enable signal missing or frequency setpoint zero.
