Module Feature

83P50-3CC0 is MAC 83 series four-way single solenoid pneumatic control valve. Model decoding: 83 = 83 series valve platform; P50 = 3/8” side port configuration; 3CC0 = coil and circuit option code, internal pilot, spring return structure. It adopts MAC famous balanced spool design, anti-sticking, high resistance to pressure fluctuation, fast response speed and large flow capacity. No air line lubrication required, compatible with dry compressed air. Widely used for driving double-acting pneumatic cylinders in packaging machines, material handling, conveyor diverters and general industrial automation pneumatic systems.

Working principle

When the solenoid coil is energized, pilot air pushes the main spool to switch air passage, supply compressed air to one side of cylinder and exhaust air from the other side. When power cuts off, return spring pushes the spool back to original position, cylinder moves reversely. Balanced spool structure keeps stable switching performance under varying inlet air pressure.

LED indicators

No built-in LED indicators. The matched coil can be selected with indicator light version on request, this 3CC0 option is without status lamp.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No electronic self-diagnosis. Judge fault by cylinder action abnormality, air leakage and solenoid buzzing.

Programming software

No configuration software. Controlled by PLC digital output or relay contact signal.

Installation

Install valve on matching MAC manifold base, lock mounting screws. Connect compressed air supply, cylinder lines and exhaust silencer. Wire solenoid coil to rated control voltage. Test switching action, check external air leakage before putting into operation.

3/8 inch pneumatic threaded ports, coil electrical terminal interface, manifold mounting interface.

Diagnostic

No cylinder action:Solenoid coil burnout, pilot pressure insufficient or spool stuck. Slow cylinder movement:Supply pressure too low, exhaust port blocked or silencer clogged. Continuous air leak:Spool seal worn or debris trapped inside valve body.
