Products Description
Meggitt C422855 EMA Fuel Gas Metering Valve Unit

Module Feature
C422855 is Meggitt (Whittaker Controls) electromechanically actuated globe-style fuel gas metering valve. It adopts EMA electric actuator instead of traditional hydraulic/pneumatic actuation, delivers high repeatability flow regulation for turbine fuel gas. Flange specification is 1-1/2 inch ANSI B16.5 Class 600 raised face. It can stably control fuel gas flow under high line pressure, support closed-loop speed/load control of gas turbine. Widely used for aero-derivative gas turbine generator sets, oil and gas compression power units. This series has variants C422855‑1 / C422855‑2 / C422855‑3 for different stroke and feedback configurations.
Working principle
DC control signal drives EMA servo actuator to lift the valve plug linearly. The plug and valve seat form variable flow area, adjusting gas flow rate proportionally with actuator position. Built-in position feedback sensor sends valve opening signal back to turbine control system for closed-loop regulation, maintains stable air-fuel ratio under varying load conditions.
Onboard components
EMA electromechanical servo actuator, position feedback transducer, globe valve body, matched plug & seat trim assembly, Class600 flange body, internal pressure sealing assembly, terminal junction box.
LED indicators
No built‑in LED indicators. Running status and valve position are read from turbine control system or matched servo controller.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Valve body itself has no self-check circuit. Upper turbine controller monitors feedback deviation, actuator out-of-range, drive current over-limit to judge jamming, seal leakage or sensor fault.
Programming software
No dedicated configuration software. Valve stroke calibration and control loop tuning are completed in gas turbine control system.
