Module Feature

M280455G008 is a closed-loop enclosure air conditioner from McLean Genesis product line, belonging to nVent Hoffman thermal cooling portfolio.

It adopts fully separated internal and external air loops, so ambient dust and humidity cannot enter the electrical cabinet. It is equipped with built-in digital temperature controller and front display for setpoint adjustment and fault indication. It has powder-coated steel housing, integrated condensate management structure, and supports continuous S1 operation in harsh industrial environments. It is widely used in power, mining, pulp & paper and chemical automation control cabinets.

Working principle

Hermetic compressor circulates refrigerant inside the sealed refrigeration circuit.

Internal evaporator absorbs heat from cabinet air, and external condenser dissipates heat to surrounding atmosphere. Two independent fans drive inner cold air circulation and outer hot air exhaust separately. The controller turns the compressor on and off automatically according to cabinet internal temperature.

Onboard components

Sealed rotary compressor, evaporator coil, condenser coil, two centrifugal fans, digital thermostat panel, refrigerant tubing assembly, mounting sealing gasket, insulated metal cabinet housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power ready, cooling active, high-temperature alarm and system fault status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects over-temperature, fan stall, refrigerant pressure deviation and temperature sensor failure. Corresponding fault codes can be displayed on the front digital screen.

Installation

Cut the matched opening on the cabinet side plate and place the sealing gasket evenly.

Fasten the unit with mounting screws, connect power cable and condensate drain line, set target temperature before power-up test.

Diagnostic

High temperature alarm: Condenser blocked by dust, fan failure or refrigerant leakage.

No cooling output: Compressor startup circuit fault, incorrect temperature setpoint or power supply loss.

Condensate overflow: Drain pipe clogging or excessive humidity inside the cabinet.
