Feature & Principle

This passive reluctance sensor does not require external power supply. When gear teeth pass the probe tip, electromagnetic induction generates AC sine pulse signal. The frequency of output signal is proportional to rotational speed. The turbine control system calculates real-time speed and executes overspeed trip protection.
