OPTIMATION OL2111A Relay Output Module

Module Feature

OPTIMATION OL2111A belongs to OptiLogic series 8-channel mechanical relay output module. Each channel adopts independent isolated dry contact relay, capable of switching both AC and DC loads. Each relay supports resistive load, per-channel front panel LED status indicator, equipped with removable screw terminal block. Standard OptiLogic form factor, hot-plug compatible with OL4054, OL4058, OL4228 RTU racks. OL2111A is the conformal coated rugged version for chemical vapor and high humidity cabinet environment. Widely used to control solenoid valves, small pumps, alarm horns and auxiliary contact signals in semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery control systems.

Working principle: RTU backplane transmits on/off control signal to drive internal relay coil. Mechanical relay contact closes or opens to switch field side AC/DC load. Galvanic isolation separates field power circuit and control backplane bus to protect RTU mainboard. Conformal coating on OL2111A PCB prevents corrosion from wet bench corrosive atmosphere. Function

OL2111A relay output module manufactured by OPTIMATION. It switches AC or DC field loads via mechanical relay contacts. Relay contact burnout may occur with inductive loads without surge suppression. It is universal discrete output component for wet process automation control rack.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off OptiLogic RTU rack. Insert module into empty rack slot and lock latches. Wire field loads to removable terminal block, add surge suppressor for inductive loads. Test all 8 relay channels before production startup.

Diagnostic

No relay actuation:No control signal or failed relay coil. Contact cannot cut off:Relay contact welded by overload current. Intermittent output:Loose terminal screw connection. Module not detected:Poor backplane edge connector contact.
