Products Description
Panduit FOSMF Fiber Splice Module Unit

Module Feature
FOSMF belongs to Panduit Opticom fiber management accessory series.
It is a hinged plastic splice tray that can accommodate a maximum of 24 fusion splices or 144 ribbon fiber splices. It adopts self-stacking design, up to 4 trays can be stacked together inside the fiber enclosure. Integrated routing guides maintain minimum fiber bend radius, with dedicated area for slack fiber storage. It supports OS2, OM1, OM2, OM3 and OM4 optical fibers and factory-terminated pigtails, commonly deployed for fiber splicing and cable organization in data centers, telecom rooms and industrial optical communication cabinets.
Working principle
Fiber fusion splice points are fixed inside the tray with heat shrink sleeves.
Extra fiber length is neatly coiled in the slack spooling zone. The hinged cover protects splices from dust, physical pull and bending damage. Multiple stacked trays realize high-density splicing capacity within one rack enclosure.
Onboard components
Black plastic tray base, hinged protective cover, splice holder slots, fiber routing ribs, slack storage spool area.
LED indicators
Not applicable.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Not applicable, this is passive fiber management hardware. Inspection focuses on splice integrity, fiber bend condition and connector attenuation test by optical power meter or OTDR.
Programming software
Not applicable.
