Module Feature

PVP2320R221 is a pressure-compensated variable axial piston pump of Parker PVP product family.

It adopts cast iron pump housing, swashplate variable mechanism and built-in pressure compensator. It automatically adjusts displacement to maintain set system pressure and reduce power consumption under light load. It supports mineral hydraulic oil, can be driven by electric motor directly or via coupling. It is widely used in injection molding machinery, metal processing equipment, packaging machines and general industrial hydraulic stations for hydraulic power supply.

Working principle

The rotation of the drive shaft drives the piston group to reciprocate inside the cylinder block.

The swashplate angle determines the pump displacement. The built-in pressure compensator detects outlet pressure and changes swashplate angle automatically: when pressure reaches setting value, it reduces flow to hold constant pressure; when load pressure drops, it increases displacement to supply required flow.

Onboard components

Cast iron pump housing, cylinder block and piston assembly, swashplate, pressure compensator control valve, return spring, inlet/outlet oil ports, drive shaft, shaft seal assembly.

LED indicators

No built-in LED. Pump working state is judged by system pressure gauge, flow feedback and actuator movement.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

No electronic self-check. Oil leakage, abnormal noise, insufficient pressure and flow decay are checked during routine maintenance and oil sampling inspection.

Programming software

No supporting configuration software.

Installation

Fix pump on motor base, align coupling and avoid radial force on shaft. Connect suction and pressure pipelines, fill oil tank with filtered hydraulic oil, set compensator pressure before startup.

InterfaceS suction port, P pressure outlet port, drive shaft, compensator adjustment screw.

Diagnostic

No pressure output: Oil starvation, blocked suction filter, damaged piston assembly or stuck compensator spool. Abnormal noise: Cavitation, contaminated hydraulic oil or worn bearing. Pressure drift: Contaminated control valve or internal leakage of piston sealing surface.
