Module Feature

NW25H14PMDO5 is Schneider Masterpact NW series draw-out air circuit breaker. Rated current 2500A, 4-pole structure, H1 stands for high breaking capacity 65kA.

It is equipped with Micrologic electronic protection trip unit, supports long time, short time, instantaneous and ground fault protection. It has built-in current/voltage measurement, power monitoring and communication function, compatible with Modbus communication module. Draw-out design can realize test, isolation and connection three positions, convenient for maintenance replacement. Widely used in large factory, commercial building, power station main incoming and bus tie distribution cabinet.

Working principle

When the circuit has overload, short circuit or earth fault, the current transformer collects current signal and sends it to Micrologic trip unit.

After judgment, the trip unit releases the mechanical operating mechanism, quickly opens the main contact to cut off fault current. It can upload electrical parameters and fault records to upper monitoring system through communication bus. Manual motor charging mechanism realizes remote closing and opening control.

Onboard components

Main contact assembly, arc extinguish chamber, current transformer, Micrologic protection controller, motor charging mechanism, draw-out base, secondary terminal block, communication module slot.

LED indicators

Front panel LEDs indicate power ready, closing status, fault alarm, protection trip and communication status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

The Micrologic trip unit performs continuous self-diagnosis, detects CT failure, controller anomaly, trip coil fault, and records fault event and waveform data.

Programming software

EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert, EcoStruxure Device Configurator, used for protection curve setting, electrical data monitoring and fault log export.

Installation

Install the draw-out base in the switchgear compartment, connect main busbar and secondary control wiring according to drawing.

Check the three-phase voltage and CT wiring before energizing, set protection parameters and test closing/tripping action, test communication connection if required.

Interface

Main busbar connection terminal, secondary control terminal block, communication module port, opening and closing coil terminal.

Diagnostic

Cannot close: Energy storage incomplete, interlock condition not satisfied, undervoltage coil fault.

Trip alarm: Overload, short circuit or earth fault, need to check downstream load.

No communication: Communication module damaged, bus address mismatch.

Abnormal heating: Main contact ablation, busbar torque insufficient.
