Module Feature

PLA34080CU44AACBDSAYP belongs to Schneider PowerPacT P series I-Line molded case circuit breaker.

It adopts 3-pole configuration, 800A frame rating and 480V AC voltage class. It is equipped with Micrologic 6.0A trip unit which supports LSIG protection including long-time overload, short-time delay, instantaneous short-circuit and earth fault protection, built-in power metering and alarm functions. It uses I-Line plug-in mounting design for quick installation and replacement, and supports optional shunt trip, auxiliary contact and communication module. It is widely used in factory power rooms, data centre distribution cabinets and heavy industrial feeder circuits for spare replacement and system upgrade.

Working principle

Built-in current transformers sample three-phase current signals and send data to Micrologic 6.0A trip unit.

When operating current exceeds preset protection threshold, the trip unit releases the operating mechanism to separate main contacts and cut off fault circuit. It records fault current, fault type and timestamp locally, and can upload real-time electrical data to power monitoring system via communication module.

Onboard components

Main contact assembly, arc extinguishing chamber, spring operating mechanism, CT group, Micrologic 6.0A electronic trip unit, I-Line plug-in base, auxiliary contact block, status indicator and optional communication board.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power supply status, trip alarm and communication link health.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects trip unit power loss, CT circuit failure, internal over-temperature and communication interruption. Fault information can be viewed on local display or EcoStruxure Power commissioning software.

Programming software

Schneider EcoStruxure Power Commissioning Tool, used for protection curve setting, metering configuration and fault record analysis.

Installation

Insert the breaker into matched I-Line busway. Check plug contact tightness, test closing/opening, protection trip and auxiliary signal function before energizing.

Diagnostic

Spontaneous tripping: Improper protection setting, CT wiring error or transient interference. Cannot close: Spring not charged, control power missing or interlock locked. Communication offline: Damaged cable or inconsistent network configuration.
