Module Feature

J0921GR-NMSN belongs to Viatran J0921 series heavy-duty pressure transmitter. It adopts all-welded stainless steel sensing element structure, high shock and vibration resistance. Built-in signal conditioning circuit provides standard 4-20mA analog output. Compact rugged construction, suitable for harsh environments including offshore platforms, oilfield equipment, mobile hydraulic machinery and industrial hydraulic systems. Supports high overpressure tolerance, excellent long-term stability. No internal oil fill, minimizes risk of contamination leakage. Widely used for wellhead pressure, hydraulic circuit pressure and process pressure monitoring.

Working principle

Process pressure acts on the stainless steel diaphragm. Internal strain gauge bridge converts mechanical deformation into millivolt signal. The conditioning circuit amplifies, compensates temperature drift and converts signal into 4-20mA loop signal. The output current is proportional to applied pressure value and transmitted to PLC or DCS system.

Onboard components

Stainless steel isolation diaphragm, strain gauge sensing bridge, signal conditioning PCB, 4-20mA drive circuit, pressure port fitting, metal transmitter housing, cable gland assembly.

LED indicators

No onboard LED indicators. Pressure value and fault state are displayed on host control system.

Hardware self-diagnosis

Loop current out-of-range detection, open/short circuit diagnosis, overpressure fault alarm via host system.

Programming software

No configuration software, fixed calibrated range from factory.

Installation

Depressurize process line before installation. Thread Viatran J0921GR-NMSN transmitter onto pressure tapping port with proper thread sealant. Wire two-wire signal cable to control system. Verify 4mA zero and 20mA full scale reading after pressurization.

Interface

NPT process pressure port, 1/2"NPT electrical cable entry, two-wire signal terminals.

Diagnostic

Fixed 4mA output: zero fault or sensor damage. Fixed 20mA output: overpressure condition or wiring short. Unstable reading: vibration overload or diaphragm contamination.
