Module Feature

315AMP is a low voltage protective circuit breaker for industrial power distribution. It supports adjustable overload and short-circuit protection settings. Optional accessories include motor operator, shunt trip, auxiliary alarm contacts and communication module. Suitable for factory switchgear, pump control panels and building power feeders. Widely stocked as spare for low voltage distribution cabinets.

Working principle

Current sensors continuously monitor three-phase load current. When overload occurs, the breaker triggers delayed trip. In case of short-circuit fault, instantaneous trip opens main contacts rapidly to isolate fault and protect cables and downstream equipment. Remote trip and status feedback are available with auxiliary accessories.

Onboard components

Current sensing assembly, trip unit, main contact set, arc quenching chamber, operating mechanism, optional auxiliary contacts and shunt trip coil.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power, ON/OFF and fault trip status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Electronic trip version monitors current and internal status; thermal magnetic type is passive. Threshold parameters can be set according to site requirement.

Programming software

Vendor configuration software for electronic trip models, no software required for thermal magnetic type.

Installation

Cut off upstream power before replacement. Fix breaker on busbar support, connect power cables and control wiring for trip/auxiliary contacts, test close, trip and protection function after commissioning.

Diagnostic

Overload trip: Continuous load current exceeds setting value. Instant trip: Short circuit on load side. Closing failure: Undervoltage protection activated or mechanism locked.
