Module Feature

1020903-1 is a matched armored coaxial extension cable of Bently Nevada 3300 XL eddy current probe system.

It adopts continuous shielded coaxial structure and flexible metal armor to resist mechanical abrasion, oil mist and electromagnetic interference. It must be used with paired 3300 XL probe and proximitor, the total system capacitance and length must match the monitor calibration requirement. It isolates external noise to maintain stable gap voltage signal. Widely stocked as spare cable for turbine, centrifugal compressor and large pump protection cabinet.

Working principle

The coaxial cable transmits high-frequency eddy current excitation signal from proximitor to probe coil, and returns the impedance modulated signal back to monitor.

The outer armor and shielding layer suppress EMI interference and prevent cable damage caused by vibration and friction. Any open, short or capacitance deviation will trigger probe fault alarm on the monitor rack.

Onboard components

Inner coaxial signal core, FEP insulation layer, copper shielding braid, flexible stainless steel armor, outer protective jacket and sealed coaxial connectors at both ends.

LED indicators

No built-in LED indicator.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Probe monitor module continuously checks cable continuity, short-circuit status and total system capacitance. No local adjustment.

Programming software

Not applicable, passive cable assembly; verification via Bently Nevada System 1 software.

Installation

Cut off rack power before replacement.

Route cable with enough slack to absorb machine thermal expansion and vibration, avoid sharp bending and clamping stress, connect connectors tightly, verify probe OK status and gap voltage after commissioning.

Diagnostic
