Module Feature

150-C108NBD belongs to SMC-3 series smart solid-state motor controller manufactured by Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation). Rated operating current 108A,compatible with 55kW motor at 400V three phase. It supports soft start,current limit start,kick start and soft stop functions. Integrated electronic motor overload protection,phase loss detection and built-in bypass contactor. Equipped with digital I/O terminals for start/stop and fault relay output. Widely used in fans,water pumps,conveyors and general induction motor starting systems.

Working principle

Three-phase AC power passes through thyristor power modules. The controller adjusts thyristor firing angle to smoothly ramp up motor voltage and limit starting inrush current. After motor reaches full speed,the internal bypass contactor closes to bypass semiconductor elements and reduce heat loss. It continuously monitors motor current and temperature for protection.

Installation

Follow ESD safety procedure before handling.Mount vertically and reserve sufficient ventilation gap.Separate power cables and signal cables to reduce EMI interference.Connect three-phase mains to L1/L2/L3 terminals and motor cable to T1/T2/T3 terminals.Set motor full load current parameter before commissioning.
