Module Feature

2094-BC07-M05-M belongs to Allen‑Bradley Kinetix 6000 series integrated axis servo module (IAM). It combines rectifier converter and servo inverter in one unit, supports shared DC bus architecture for multi‑axis groups. Rated 45kW, 460V AC three‑phase input, continuous output current 49A. It integrates Safe Speed Monitor safety function, not only STO safe torque off. Built‑in dynamic brake shunt circuit for regenerative load. It communicates with ControlLogix / CompactLogix through SERCOS fiber motion bus. This model has been discontinued, widely used in packaging machines, printing presses, CNC machinery and automated assembly lines.

Working principle

Three‑phase AC input is rectified into shared DC bus voltage for the whole servo group. The internal IGBT inverter converts DC into high‑precision PWM AC to drive servo motor. The module receives position and torque commands from Logix controller via SERCOS optical fiber, executes closed‑loop position / velocity / torque control. When safety signal triggers, it limits motor speed or cuts off torque output to protect operators.

Onboard components

Input rectifier bridge, IGBT inverter power stack, DC bus capacitor bank, internal shunt brake resistor, current sampling circuit, SERCOS fiber communication board, safety monitor circuit, cooling fan, encoder feedback interface.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power ready, SERCOS link, drive run, fault, safety status and bus voltage alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Continuous self‑monitoring detects overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overheat, encoder loss, fiber link break, safety circuit fault and fan failure, saves fault codes.

Installation

Install on standard Kinetix backplane, use shielded cable for motor and encoder wiring, separate power cable and fiber. Complete motion axis configuration and safety signal wiring, perform motor auto‑tune before commissioning. Clean fan and heatsink regularly.

Diagnostic

SERCOS link down: Fiber contaminated, fiber bend radius too small, node ID conflict. Safety fault: Safety circuit open, safety relay interlock not closed.
