Module Feature

81001-450-51-R belongs to 8100 series high-power SGCT (Symmetrical Gate Commutated Thyristor) packaged power stack manufactured by Allen-Bradley (Rockwell Automation). Rated 800A,6500V single SGCT assembly. It is designed for high-power medium voltage drive and power conversion equipment. This part has been officially discontinued by Rockwell Automation. The module integrates SGCT chip,gate drive interface and heat transfer base plate. Widely applied in large medium voltage VFD,grid power conversion and heavy process power control systems.

Working principle

SGCT is a high-power semiconductor switching device. The gate drive signal controls turn-on and turn-off of the SGCT chip. It handles high-voltage and large-current power switching for DC link and power inversion inside medium voltage drives. The metal base plate transfers heat generated during switching operation to external heat sink.

Installation
