Module Feature

CAM-C203-E is a compact GigE area scan industrial camera for machine vision inspection.

It adopts 2-megapixel CMOS rolling shutter image sensor, supports standard GigE Vision protocol and PoE power supply. It has C/CS-mount lens thread for interchangeable lens selection. It supports software trigger and hardware trigger mode, ROI readout, image flip and LUT lookup table adjustment. Equipped with digital I/O for trigger input and strobe light synchronization output. It is widely stocked as replacement spare for packaging inspection, electronic component quality check and logistics traceability vision cabinet.

Working principle

CMOS sensor captures grayscale or color image of target workpiece.

Image data is transmitted to vision controller or host PC via Gigabit Ethernet. Vision software executes image algorithm such as pattern matching, edge measurement, defect detection and barcode decoding. The camera outputs strobe sync signal to control external lighting and receives trigger signal from PLC to capture image at fixed production position.

Onboard components

2MP CMOS image sensor, FPGA image processing chip, GigE Ethernet transceiver, PoE power circuit, opto-isolated digital I/O circuit, C-mount lens holder, status LED group, metal housing and M12 connector assembly.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power ready, network link, trigger receiving and image capturing status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects network disconnect, over-temperature, signal overexposure and internal hardware anomaly. Parameter configuration and fault diagnosis are completed by matched vision configuration software.

Programming software

Vision configuration SDK / GigE viewer, used for exposure setting, trigger mode configuration, network IP setting and camera calibration.

Installation

Fix camera bracket firmly and adjust lens focus and aperture.

Match external strobe light if needed, set network IP in the same segment, test trigger synchronization and image stability under production speed.

Interface

M12 GigE PoE port, 6-pin M12 digital I/O trigger / strobe port, C-mount lens interface.

Diagnostic

Image blurry: Lens out of focus, aperture improper or vibration of mounting bracket. No image transmission: Ethernet cable damage, IP address conflict or PoE power failure. Trigger no capture: Trigger wiring error, I/O parameter misconfiguration or strobe signal mismatch.
