Module Feature

KJ2005X1-MQ1 is a serial communication interface card used in Emerson DeltaV distributed control system.

It provides multiple serial ports for connecting field instruments and third-party devices to the DeltaV control network. The card converts serial data into the DeltaV communication protocol, enabling data exchange between external equipment and the control system. It supports standard industrial serial communication modes and is configured through DeltaV engineering software. Working principle

External serial devices transmit data to the card through RS232/RS485 interface.

The onboard communication processor formats the serial frames and forwards them to the DeltaV controller over the control network. Conversely, data from the control system is converted back to serial format for external devices. The card continuously supervises each serial channel and reports link status to the control system.

LED indicators

Front panel LEDs indicate power, link, transmit and receive status for each serial channel.

Installation
