Products Description
SPG-4426-0090 Motor Protection Trip Unit Unit

Module Feature
SPG-4426-0090 is an electronic motor protection trip unit for low voltage motor starter and feeder application.
It continuously monitors three-phase motor current through built-in current transformers, providing overload, phase loss, phase unbalance, locked rotor and short circuit protection. Protection thresholds and delay time are adjustable on the front panel. It offers adjustable trip class, thermal memory function and optional earth fault protection. Suitable for pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors. Widely stocked as maintenance spare for industrial motor control cabinet.
Working principle
Current transformers feed phase current signals to the trip unit.
The electronic circuit calculates thermal load state and compares measured value with protection setpoint. When overload or fault exceeds the configured limit, the unit activates trip relay output to open the contactor and protect the motor. Thermal memory function prevents immediate restart of an overheated motor.
Onboard components
Current transformer module, trip calculation circuit, adjustment knob and DIP switch, trip relay output, status LED, dial setting window and flame retardant housing.
LED indicators
Front LEDs indicate power, overload trip and earth fault alarm status.
Hardware self‑diagnosis
Internal circuit detects CT open circuit and trip relay health. Parameter setting is adjusted locally through front panel knobs and DIP switches.
Programming software
Not applicable, locally adjustable electronic trip unit.
