1000BASE-SX is Extreme original gigabit SFP transceiver. Compatible with Extreme Summit, X440, X450a, VSP series switches with SFP slots. Supports DDM real-time monitoring of optical power, temperature and supply voltage. Widely used for short-distance multimode fiber links inside factory buildings and enterprise campus.

Function

1000BASE-SX converts 1G electrical signal into optical signal for multimode fiber transmission. DDM function can read transceiver working parameters in real time. It is used for 550m gigabit point-to-point multimode fiber connection in local area network.

Installation

Wear ESD anti-static wrist strap. Insert the SFP module fully into the SFP port of switch. Connect LC multimode fiber patch cord. Power on the equipment, verify module recognition, DDM optical power reading and link status via switch CLI before commissioning.
