Products Description
Extreme Networks 100G-DACP-QSFP DAC Cable Assembly

Technical SpecificationsModel:100G-DACP-QSFP (suffix 1M /3M /5M for different lengths) Brand:Extreme Networks Product Type:Passive QSFP28 to QSFP28 Direct Attach Copper (DAC) Twinax Cable
Interface: QSFP28 male connectors on both ends Standard: IEEE 802.3bj 100GBASE-CR4, QSFP28 MSA SFF-8636 Data rate: 100Gbps (4 × 25G lanes), backward compatible for 40G operation Cable type: Passive twinax copper Available length: 1m,3m,5m Power consumption: <0.1W, no internal active chip Hot swap: Support hot plug and removal Impedance: 100Ω differential Jacket: LSZH low smoke zero halogen Operating temperature:0℃ ~ +70℃ RoHS compliant
System compatibility
100G-DACP-QSFP works with Extreme switches & routers equipped with QSFP28 ports, including SLX9850, X670 series. The cable’s EEPROM is pre-programmed for Extreme hardware recognition. It can run at 100G or negotiate down to 40G when connecting to 40G QSFP+ ports.
Function
100G-DACP-QSFP is short-range passive copper twinax cable for rack-to-rack or same-chassis interconnection in data center. It delivers 100G high-speed connection without optical transceivers. Low power consumption, low latency and cost-saving compared with fiber links. Suitable for leaf-spine architecture, server ToR connection.
Installation
Insert QSFP28 connector into switch/router QSFP28 port until latch locks. Plug the other end to the peer QSFP28 port. Verify link status via device CLI. Do not bend cable below minimum bend radius, avoid pulling the cable by the connector housing.
InterfaceQSFP28 gold finger connector, integrated twinax copper cable for Extreme Networks 100G-DACP-QSFP.
FeatureOriginal Extreme 100G-DACP-QSFP passive 100G QSFP28 DAC twinax cable, support 100G/40G dual-speed,ultra-low power consumption,hot-swappable,LSZH jacket, short distance intra-rack interconnection. This spare is used for data center 100G short-reach copper link replacement.
DiagnosticCable undetected: Re-seat both QSFP28 connectors, check firmware version of host device. Link down: Inspect cable bend, confirm both ports set to 100G/40G compatible mode. Flapping link: Avoid cable stress or pinch damage, check EEPROM recognition. Speed negotiation fail: Manual configure port speed if auto-negotiation cannot match.
Product Brief100G-DACP-QSFP is Extreme Networks passive QSFP28-to-QSFP28 100GBASE-CR4 twinax DAC cable, classic spare for data center intra-rack short-distance high-speed interconnection.
