System compatibility

25G-LR-SFP10KM-SFP28 is Extreme original 25G SFP28 singlemode transceiver. Compatible with Extreme VSP and Summit series switches equipped with SFP28 slots. RS-FEC must be enabled on the host port for normal 25G operation. Supports DOM real-time monitoring of optical power, temperature, supply voltage and laser bias current. Widely used for data center leaf-spine interconnection and enterprise 25G backbone singlemode fiber links.

Function

25G-LR-SFP10KM-SFP28 converts 25G electrical signal into optical signal for single-mode fiber transmission at 1310nm wavelength. Built-in CDR for signal recovery. DOM function can read transceiver working parameters in real time. This module is used for 10km 25G point-to-point singlemode fiber interconnection between data center switches.

Installation

Wear ESD anti-static wrist strap. Insert the SFP28 module fully into the SFP28 port of switch. Connect LC singlemode fiber patch cord. Enable RS-FEC on the switch port. Power on the equipment, verify module identification, DOM optical power reading and link status via switch CLI before commissioning.
