40G-DACP-QSFPZ is Extreme certified passive DAC cable. Compatible with Extreme switches equipped with QSFP+ ports, including X480, X670V, X870, X590 series. It can be used for regular 40G uplink connection or SummitStack-V stacking links. Only works for short-distance in-chassis or rack adjacent interconnection.

Function

40G-DACP-QSFPZ is short 0.5m passive QSFP+ to QSFP+ copper cable for data center rack internal interconnection. It delivers stable 40Gbps transmission between two QSFP+ ports. Passive design needs no external power and low heat generation. It is widely used for short-distance switch stacking, leaf-spine short connection and equipment internal high-speed interconnection. Compared with optical fiber, DAC cable has lower cost and simpler deployment for short reach application.

Installation

Insert QSFP+ connector into QSFP+ port of Extreme switch firmly. Verify cable recognition and link status via ExtremeXOS CLI. Arrange cable routing, maintain proper bending radius. Configure port speed or stacking function as required. Check link-up status after insertion.
