Function

71K11L4-24 (7124) is 1RU top-of-rack leaf switch for enterprise and cloud data center. 24 SFP+ 10G ports connect servers and storage devices. Four QSFP+ 40G ports provide high-bandwidth uplink to spine core switch, also support breakout into 4×10G. It runs ExtremeXOS with rich data center features including M-LAG, VXLAN, dynamic routing and hardware ACL. Hot-swappable fans improve maintainability. Widely used for server rack access, virtualization cluster and medium data center leaf-spine architecture.

Installation

Mount the switch to standard 19-inch rack. Install hot-swappable fans and power supplies. Connect console cable for initial ExtremeXOS configuration. Insert SFP+/QSFP+ transceivers or DAC/AOC cables. Configure VLAN, M-LAG, routing and QoS policies. Verify port link, fan and power health after power on.
