AA1404001-E6 is Extreme original 40G LR4 QSFP+ transceiver. Compatible with Extreme / Avaya platforms with QSFP+ slots: BlackDiamond 8900, VSP series,7100,7720 and other data center switches. Also works with MSA compliant third-party network hardware. Used for long-distance 40G single-mode fiber uplink between buildings or data center core/leaf interconnection.

Function

AA1404001-E6 long-range 40G QSFP+ optical transceiver. It converts 4-lane electrical signal from switch QSFP+ port to optical signal over single-mode fiber for 40G Ethernet transmission. Four CWDM wavelengths are integrated inside for bidirectional data transmission. DDM function can monitor real-time module temperature, transmit optical power, receive optical power and supply voltage. Widely applied for cross-building 40G uplink, medium & large data center long-distance leaf-spine interconnection.

InstallationTake ESD protection. Insert the QSFP+ module firmly into QSFP+ slot of network switch. Plug LC duplex single-mode fiber patch cord. Verify module identification and link status via switch CLI. Check optical power value by DDM command.
