System compatibility

DPS-1100GB-1B is Extreme Networks original hot-swap power supply. Compatible with Extreme high-density switches supporting 1100W FRU PSU, such as Summit X series and SLX series platforms. Supports dual PSU active/standby redundancy. The PMBus channel enables ExtremeXOS / SLX-OS to read PSU health, temperature and power consumption.

Function

DPS-1100GB-1B is a high-efficiency 1100W redundant power supply for rack mounted network switches. It supplies stable +12V power to switch mainboard, line cards and fan assemblies. Redundant dual PSU deployment allows single PSU replacement without powering off the whole switch, avoiding core network outage. Built-in intelligent fan adjusts speed according to internal temperature to reduce noise and power waste.

Installation

Power down the PSU bay or use in-service hot swap if redundant. Slide the PSU into dedicated power bay until latch clicks. Connect AC power cable. Verify PSU health status via ExtremeXOS / SLX-OS CLI. Confirm airflow direction matches chassis requirement.
