System compatibility

SP7051-EXTSFP-10G-T is Extreme original SFP+ 10G copper transceiver. Compatible with Extreme switches and routers equipped with SFP+ ports, including SLX9850, Summit X670-G2, X670V series. Pre-programmed EX EEPROM for automatic recognition by ExtremeXOS and SLX-OS. It supports auto-negotiation, can fall back to 1G/100M if peer device supports.

Function

SP7051-EXTSFP-10G-T converts SFP+ electrical signal to 10GBASE-T twisted pair Ethernet. It allows SFP+ fiber port to connect regular RJ45 copper network via Cat6a cable. Suitable for rack local connection, server 10G copper access, office cabinet interconnection, no optical fiber required. Supports auto negotiation for mixed speed environment.

Installation

Insert SFP+ module into SFP+ port until latch locks. Plug Cat6a RJ45 network cable into module RJ45 port. Verify module detection and link status via SLX-OS / ExtremeXOS CLI. Use qualified Cat6a cable within 30m for stable 10G speed.
