System compatibility

Summit X430-24T supports Extreme original 1G SFP optical transceivers for uplink slots. It supports Layer2 switching and basic static Layer3 routing. Designed for enterprise access layer deployment, can uplink to Summit X450/X460 aggregation switches. This model does not support SummitStack-V stacking.

Function

Summit X430-24T is 1U rack-mount entry-level gigabit access switch. 24 RJ45 gigabit ports connect PC, wireless AP and IP terminal devices. Four independent 1G SFP uplink ports connect to aggregation switch via fiber links. It supports VLAN segmentation, QoS traffic priority, ACL security filtering, DHCP snooping and storm control. Suitable for small office, branch network and campus access deployment.

Installation

Mount the switch into standard 19-inch rack. Connect AC power cable. Use console cable for initial CLI configuration. Insert 1G SFP transceivers into front SFP uplink ports and connect fiber patch cords. Configure VLAN, ACL and uplink parameters via ExtremeXOS CLI.
