System compatibility

X440-G2-48T-10 supports SummitStack-V virtual stacking, up to 8 switch members in one stack. Compatible with Extreme original SFP 1G and SFP+ 10G transceivers, passive DAC twinax cables. It can build mixed stack with X450-G2,X460-G2,X620,X770 series with matching ExtremeXOS firmware. Supports Layer2 switching and full Layer3 IP routing.

Function

X440-G2-48T-10 is a 1U rack-mount high-density gigabit switch for enterprise access or aggregation layer. 48 auto-sensing gigabit RJ45 ports connect PCs, servers and wireless APs. The rear four SFP+ ports work at 1G by default, users can activate 10G speed after purchasing license. Two rear SFP+ ports can be configured as SummitStack-V stacking ports to combine multiple switches into one logical device. It supports VLAN segmentation, QoS traffic scheduling, ACL security filtering, DHCP snooping and broadcast storm control, widely used in campus, branch office and small data center network.

Installation

Mount the switch into standard 19-inch equipment rack. Connect AC power cable. Use console cable for initial CLI configuration. Insert SFP/SFP+ transceivers into rear slots and connect fiber or DAC cables. Activate 10G port license via ExtremeXOS CLI if 10G uplink is required. Configure SummitStack-V stacking parameters when multiple switches are clustered.
