System compatibility

X450-G2-24P-GE belongs to Extreme X450-G2 series. Supports SummitStack-V84 stacking, up to 8 switches in one stack. Compatible with Extreme original 1G SFP transceivers for front SFP uplink slots. Supports Layer 2 switching and Layer3 IP routing. Hot swap fan and redundant PSU support continuous operation for enterprise, campus and wireless access networks.

Function

X450-G2-24P-GE is a 1U rack-mount enterprise PoE+ gigabit access switch. 24 PoE+ ports supply power and data to wireless AP, IP camera and VoIP phone. Four 1G SFP uplink ports connect to aggregation/core switches via fiber. Built-in rear QSFP stacking ports build high-performance switch cluster. It supports advanced QoS, VLAN segmentation, ACL security filtering and Fabric Attach automated device access, widely deployed for campus wireless, office IP monitoring and enterprise access network.

Installation

Mount the switch into standard 19-inch equipment rack. Install PSU and fan tray. Connect AC power cable. Use console cable for initial configuration. Insert 1G SFP transceivers into front SFP slots and connect fiber patch cords. Use QSFP stacking cables for multi-unit stack. Configure stacking and PoE power management via ExtremeXOS CLI.
