System compatibility

X590-24T-1Q-2C supports SummitStack-V400 stacking, up to 8 stack members including X590/X690/X870 series. Compatible with Extreme original SFP+,QSFP+,QSFP28 transceivers and DAC twinax cables. Supports Layer2 switching, full IPv4/IPv6 Layer3 routing,OSPF,BGP,VRRP,PIM multicast routing. It can be deployed as aggregation node for Extreme Extended Edge network and enterprise core layer.

Function

X590-24T-1Q-2C is 1U high density 10G copper aggregation switch for enterprise core and Extended Edge solution. 24 10GBASE-T RJ45 ports connect 10G servers or 10G access switches over standard copper cabling. Multi-rate QSFP+ and QSFP28 ports provide flexible high-speed uplink up to 100G, these high-speed ports can also be configured as SummitStack-V400 stacking links to combine multiple switches into single logical device. It supports advanced QoS, large ACL table, jumbo frame, Fabric Attach and comprehensive security control, widely used for campus core, enterprise aggregation and medium data center copper 10G access aggregation.

Installation

Mount the switch into standard 19-inch rack. Install PSU and fan modules, ensure consistent airflow direction between fans and power supplies. Connect power cable. Use console cable for initial CLI setup. Insert QSFP+/QSFP28 transceivers and connect fiber or DAC cables. Configure SummitStack-V400 stacking parameters if stack cluster required. Verify port status and firmware consistency after boot.
