Module Feature

A06B-0247-B200#0100 belongs to FANUC αi-B series medium inertia servo motor, model αiF22/3000.

It adopts keyed straight shaft structure, sealed housing design, suitable for machine tool workshop with coolant splash and dust environment. Integrated high-resolution serial pulse encoder, supports high precision position and speed closed-loop control. Good acceleration performance, stable low-speed running, overload capacity for cutting impact load. It needs to be used together with FANUC αi series servo amplifier, widely stocked as maintenance spare for machining center, lathe and grinding machine feed axis.

Working principle

The servo amplifier outputs three-phase sine current to the motor stator winding.

Permanent magnet rotor rotates under magnetic field coupling, the built-in encoder feeds back rotor position and speed signal to amplifier in real time. The drive adjusts output current and voltage continuously according to position command, to realize rapid positioning, constant speed and follow control. Built-in temperature sensor monitors winding temperature, trigger overload alarm when temperature exceeds threshold.

Onboard components

Permanent magnet rotor, stator winding, high resolution serial pulse coder, temperature thermal sensor, keyed output shaft, front oil seal, power connector, encoder signal connector and aluminum motor housing.

LED indicators

No indicator on motor body; alarm information and speed/position data are displayed on servo amplifier HMI.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Temperature detection inside motor; encoder signal fault, overload, overheat and wiring fault diagnosis are completed by matched FANUC servo amplifier. Parameter tuning and alarm diagnosis are completed by FANUC LADDER-III / SERVO GUIDE software.

Installation

Cut off servo drive power before replacement. Align flange mounting hole, connect power cable and encoder cable correctly, run motor auto identification, test JOG operation and positioning accuracy after commissioning.

Overheat alarm: Long time overload, cooling deterioration. Encoder alarm: Encoder cable break, encoder damage. Vibration abnormal: Gain mismatch, mechanical resonance, coupling loose.
