Function

DVC6200 GE40184X292 is smart digital valve controller manufactured by Fisher. It receives 4-20mA+HART setpoint signal, compares with real valve stroke via magnetic non-contact sensor and adjusts pneumatic output pressure to drive actuator. Built-in online diagnostics can detect valve friction, packing wear and actuator air leakage, support predictive maintenance. HART communication allows remote configuration and alarm monitoring. It improves valve positioning accuracy and reduces unplanned shutdown risk.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Cut off instrument air and loop power supply. Install magnetic strip on valve stem, mount DVC6200 assembly onto actuator bracket. Connect instrument air tubing and 4-20mA HART signal cable. Run auto-calibration and full stroke test. Restore air and power supply, verify HART communication and diagnostic functions.
