Products Description

GE 469-P5-HI-A20-T SR469 Motor Management Relay Unit

Module Feature

469-P5-HI-A20-T is the draw-out type motor management relay of GE Multilin SR469 series.

It provides full set protection functions for medium and large motors, including thermal overload, negative sequence unbalance, locked rotor, short circuit, ground fault and RTD over-temperature protection. Built-in metering function measures current, voltage, power and energy. It supports fault waveform capture and event record storage for post-fault analysis. Draw-out structure allows quick replacement without modifying wiring. Multiple RTD channels are available for stator winding and bearing temperature monitoring. Widely stocked as maintenance spare for pump, fan and compressor motor feeder cabinet.

Working principle

The relay collects CT secondary current, PT voltage and RTD temperature signals continuously.

Internal firmware runs thermal model algorithm to simulate motor heating state. When any measured value exceeds the configured threshold, the relay triggers trip or alarm output to cut off motor power. Real-time data and fault records can be uploaded to SCADA via serial communication port. It also provides motor start inhibit and emergency restart logic for process interlock control.

Onboard components

Signal acquisition circuit, main processing chip, memory for fault record, RTD measurement module, LCD local display, status LED bank, relay output contacts, communication interface and draw-out chassis.

LED indicators

Front panel LEDs show power, run, alarm and trip status; local LCD displays measurement value, setting parameters and fault codes.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects CT open circuit, RTD break, internal hardware error and communication failure. Configuration and fault analysis are completed by GE EnerVista software.

Programming software

EnerVista, used for protection curve setup, thermal parameter configuration, communication address setting, waveform and event log download.
