Module Feature

VA081225G052S is a V-series industrial enclosure air conditioner manufactured by Hoffman.

It is designed for cooling PLC, drive and electronic components inside sealed electrical cabinets. It adopts passive condensate management structure, no external condensate drain required. Galvanized steel housing with IP56 ingress protection, suitable for dusty workshop environments. Refrigerant is R134a. Semi-recessed mounting design saves cabinet space. Widely stocked as spare for machine tool, packaging and process control cabinet thermal management.

Working principle

The refrigeration cycle consists of compressor, condenser, expansion valve and evaporator.

Internal air circulates across cold evaporator coil to remove heat from cabinet. Heat is discharged to outside air via condenser. Built-in temperature controller maintains set cabinet temperature. It provides high temperature alarm and compressor protection to prevent overheating damage to internal electronics.

Onboard components

Hermetic compressor, evaporator coil, condenser coil, expansion device, temperature controller, cooling fans, R134a refrigerant circuit, sealing gasket and galvanized steel housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power, cooling running and fault alarm status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Unit monitors cabinet internal temperature, coil temperature and compressor running status. Cooling setpoint can be adjusted on local control panel.

Installation

Cut off 230V AC power before replacement.

Install unit into pre-cut cabinet opening, secure fixing bolts, connect power wiring, set target cabinet temperature, test cooling function and alarm output after commissioning.

Interface

230V AC power terminal, alarm dry contact output.

Diagnostic

No cooling: Compressor fault, refrigerant leakage or temperature setting error. High temperature alarm: Filter clogged, fan failure or excessive cabinet heat load. Condensate overflow: Passive drain system blocked.
