Module Feature

Q1L86A is a line-interactive uninterruptible power supply of HPE R/T3000 G5 series.

It supports dual installation modes: 2U rack mount or free-standing tower. It adopts hot-swappable battery design, batteries can be replaced without shutting down the protected load. Optional extended battery modules can greatly prolong backup duration. It is equipped with LCD display for local status viewing, and compatible with optional network management card for remote monitoring and graceful shutdown. Widely stocked as spare for server room, industrial control and network cabinet power protection.

Working principle

Under normal mains supply, the UPS filters and stabilizes AC power for downstream loads while charging internal battery pack.

When mains power fails or voltage is out of tolerance, the inverter converts DC battery power into stable AC output instantly to sustain the load. Built-in management circuit monitors voltage, battery health, load percentage and temperature. It sends alarm notifications and triggers orderly shutdown of servers through management software before battery depletion.

Onboard components

AC voltage regulation circuit, DC-AC inverter module, rechargeable battery pack, LCD control panel, cooling fan, output socket group, optional network management slot and metal chassis.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power on, battery backup active, overload and fault alarm status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Automatic self-check for battery health, internal temperature, inverter circuit and load status. Parameters can be viewed locally on LCD or via network management page.

Programming software

HPE Power Protector, used for UPS monitoring, event alert configuration and automatic server shutdown setting.

Installation

Cut off input power before replacement.
