Honeywell ACS8T Access Control Workstation Unit

Module Feature

ACS8T is a dedicated tower workstation developed by Honeywell for access control management.

It is pre-configured to support Honeywell Pro-Watch and WIN-PAK access control platforms. Equipped with high-performance processor, large-capacity memory and SSD storage, it supports multi-monitor output and video linkage. It centrally manages access card permissions, door status, alarm signals and historical access logs. Widely stocked as spare host for factory, commercial building and campus security control room.

Working principle

The workstation executes Honeywell access management software and communicates with door controllers over LAN.

It sends permission configuration to field access panels in real time, receives door status, card swiping records and alarm events uploaded from controllers. Operators can add/delete user cards, set time schedules and view alarm records on the workstation. It stores all security events locally for traceability.

Onboard components

Intel core processor, DDR5 memory, NVMe SSD, dedicated graphics card, gigabit Ethernet controller, USB interface array, tower chassis and cooling assembly.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power, hard disk activity and network running status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in Windows system hardware monitoring. Software diagnostics check network connection to access controllers and database service health.

Programming software

Honeywell Pro-Watch / WIN-PAK, used for access permission setup, card enrollment, alarm configuration and event query.

Installation

Cut off power before replacement.

Place workstation in control room, connect power, monitor and network cable, install and activate access control software, establish communication with door controllers, test card reading and alarm reporting after commissioning.

Diagnostic
