Koganei 83P25-4EJ8 Solenoid Valve Unit

Module Feature

83P25-4EJ8 belongs to Koganei 83 series pneumatic solenoid valve.

It adopts internal pilot drive structure, 5-port 2-position switching function. The coil is rated DC24V, supporting standard 0.1~0.7MPa working air pressure range. It has built-in manual override button for offline test, and can be fitted with silencer and speed controller accessories. It features compact aluminum valve body, long service life and stable switching action, commonly deployed to drive air cylinders, air grippers and pneumatic clamps on automated production lines.

Working principle

When 24VDC power is supplied to the solenoid coil, the pilot spool shifts and guides pilot air to push the main spool.

The main air circuit switches air supply to the cylinder forward port. When coil power is cut off, the return spring pushes the main spool back to reset the air path and retract the cylinder. The manual override can trigger spool movement without electrical power for maintenance debugging.

Installation

Clean compressed air pipeline and install air filter regulator before connection.

Mount valve on manifold plate, connect air supply, cylinder piping and 24VDC control wiring, test manual override and automatic action before operation.

Diagnostic

No action after energizing: Coil burnout, insufficient pilot air pressure or spool stuck by debris.

Air leakage: Seal ring aging, foreign particles between spool and sleeve.

Slow cylinder movement: Exhaust silencer blocked or supply air pressure below setting.
