Module Feature

EVS9330-EKV004 belongs to Lenze 9300 series servo inverter, rated power 45kW for 3-phase 400V supply. It supports high dynamic closed-loop servo control for asynchronous and synchronous motors, accepts resolver, incremental and absolute encoder signals. Digital and analog I/O are built in, with expansion slot for Profibus, CANopen or other communication interfaces. It has internal brake chopper circuit for external braking resistor connection, high overload capacity for cyclic dynamic load. Widely applied on extruders, printing presses, lifting equipment and heavy automated production lines.

Working principle

Three-phase AC is rectified to DC bus, then IGBT power stage outputs variable frequency and variable voltage waveforms according to servo control algorithm. Encoder feedback is continuously sampled by control board to realize closed-loop speed, torque and position regulation. The drive monitors bus voltage, output current and power module temperature continuously, and triggers protective stop once fault condition occurs. Parameter setup and fault log access are available via Lenze commissioning software.

Onboard components

3-phase rectifier assembly, IGBT power module, current transformer set, main control CPU board, cooling fan, brake chopper circuit, I/O terminal block, communication expansion slot, encoder evaluation circuit.

LED indicators

Front panel LEDs indicate power ready, drive enable, running state, fault alarm and fieldbus communication status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Automatic self-test after power on. Detects phase loss, overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overtemperature, encoder signal loss, fan failure and communication timeout, and stores corresponding fault codes.

Programming software

Lenze Engineer / L-force Engineer, used for motor identification, auto-tuning, motion profile setup, I/O configuration and firmware upgrade.

Installation

Install vertically inside control cabinet and keep sufficient vertical ventilation clearance. Route power cables and shielded encoder feedback cables separately. Complete motor identification and auto-tuning before commissioning, set acceleration, deceleration and protection parameters. Clean heat sink dust and inspect fan operation regularly.

Diagnostic

Overcurrent: Motor short circuit, earth fault, mechanical lock, incorrect control gain. Overtemperature: Fan failure, blocked cooling duct, excessive ambient temperature. Encoder fault: Broken feedback cable, bad shielding grounding. Communication interruption: Missing terminating resistor, bus address conflict, damaged cable.
