Module Feature

Sanyo Denki U508BN-012S18 belongs to SAN ACE series high reliability DC cooling fan. Rated voltage DC12V, compact frame structure, excellent air volume and static pressure performance. Adopts long life bearing design, low vibration and low noise during continuous operation. Built-in speed detection signal output function, can feed fan rotation status back to control system. Integrated overcurrent and lock rotor protection function, when fan is blocked, power will be cut off automatically to avoid damage. Widely used for heat dissipation of servo amplifier, electrical cabinet and semiconductor wet bench automation equipment.

Working principle: After applying DC12V power supply, the internal DC brushless motor drives fan blades to rotate, generate continuous airflow to take away heat from power module and heating components inside cabinet. The built-in Hall sensor detects fan speed and outputs feedback signal to host controller for fan running state monitoring. When rotor locked, internal protection circuit triggers to stop motor driving.

U508BN-012S18 cooling fan manufactured by Sanyo Denki. It provides forced air cooling for servo power unit and electrical cabinet, reduces internal temperature of power module. Blade blocked, bearing aging or wiring fault will cause overheat alarm of servo system. It is key heat dissipation component for semiconductor wet bench and chemical delivery automation equipment.

Installation

Follow lockout/tagout safety procedure before installation. Power off equipment completely. Fix fan on cabinet mounting hole with screws, pay attention to airflow direction. Connect DC12V power cable and speed feedback signal wire. Power on and test fan rotation and speed feedback signal before formal operation.

Diagnostic

Fan no rotation:Power supply missing, wiring breakage or motor damage. Abnormal noise:Bearing wear, foreign matter stuck in blade. Speed alarm:Signal wire poor contact, hall sensor failure. Overheat alarm:Fan stop or airflow blocked.
