Module Feature

140CPU65150C is a discontinued Unity CPU processor for Schneider Modicon Quantum PLC rack system. It runs Unity Pro programming software, supports multiple IEC61131-3 programming languages. It features built-in Modbus Plus and Ethernet communication interface, can manage local I/O racks, S908 remote I/O and distributed Modbus Plus stations. It supports program backup by memory battery, provides watchdog protection and online program modification. Widely stocked as spare for power plant, pulp & paper, chemical and metallurgy automation control cabinets.

Working principle

The CPU scans user control program cyclically, reads input status from backplane and remote I/O stations. It executes logic calculation, arithmetic operation and communication exchange, then writes output command to I/O modules. It exchanges data with HMI, SCADA and other controllers via Ethernet or Modbus Plus. Internal watchdog circuit will trigger fault stop if program execution is abnormal. Fault code and diagnostic information are stored in CPU memory.

LED indicators

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Installation

Cut off rack power before replacement. Align CPU with Quantum backplane slot and insert, lock fixing screws, connect Modbus Plus and Ethernet cables, install backup battery, download Unity program, test program run and communication function after commissioning.
