Module Feature

0G-PM50KD is the 50kW power module for Schneider Electric Galaxy VS series modular UPS. It supports hot-swap replacement without shutting down the whole UPS system, which improves system maintainability and uptime. It adopts high-efficiency three-level topology, low THDi, wide input voltage window, and can run in parallel with multiple identical modules for capacity expansion or redundancy. Built-in temperature, current and voltage monitoring circuit, communication interface for UPS controller. Widely deployed in data centers, power plants, pharmaceutical factories and other critical load power protection occasions.

Working principle

AC input is rectified to DC, then inverted back to stable sinusoidal AC output to supply critical loads. The module communicates with the UPS master controller to synchronize output voltage and phase with other parallel modules. When internal fault or overtemperature occurs, the module will automatically exit and the remaining healthy modules will share the load. Operating data and fault events are uploaded to the UPS monitoring system.

Onboard components

Rectifier circuit, IGBT inverter stage, DSP control board, current and voltage sampling sensors, cooling fan group, DC capacitor bank, communication interface, power terminal block.

LED indicators

Front panel LEDs indicate power present, module active, fault status and communication link.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in automatic self-test on power-up. Detects input phase loss, overvoltage, undervoltage, overcurrent, overtemperature, fan stop and communication failure, and locks the module for protection.

Programming software

EcoStruxure UPS management software for module status monitoring, capacity configuration, alarm log review and firmware upgrade.

Installation

Insert module into the Galaxy VS UPS cabinet along guide rail and lock the connector. The controller will automatically recognize the new module and complete parallel synchronization. Do not remove module when load exceeds remaining capacity. Clean fan and air filter periodically.

Three-phase input terminals, three-phase output terminals, DC bus interface, communication connector, status indicator interface.

Diagnostic

Module offline: Communication cable loose, module power failure, internal hardware fault. Overtemperature alarm: Fan failure, air inlet blocked, cabinet ambient temperature too high. Output unbalance: Parallel module parameter mismatch, current sampling deviation.
