Products Description

Schneider Electric BCPMSCA60S PowerLogic BCPM 60-Circuit Branch Power Meter

Module Feature

BCPMSCA60S is a 60-channel branch power monitoring module from Schneider Electric PowerLogic BCPM series. It works with 50A split-core CTs with 0.333V secondary output for each monitored branch. The module samples main bus voltage synchronously with each branch current, calculates energy consumption, power factor and frequency, and captures power quality disturbances such as voltage sags and swells. It adopts backplane PCB assembly design with ribbon cable connections to CT adapter boards. Standard Modbus RTU communication allows integration with BMS, SCADA and EcoStruxure Power systems. It is widely used in server room PDUs, commercial distribution boards and industrial sub-feeder metering for cost allocation and load balancing.

Working principle

Split-core CTs convert branch AC current into low-level analog signals. The DSP controller samples voltage and current waveforms, accumulates energy and computes power parameters. When measured values cross user-defined thresholds, alarm flags are set and available via Modbus registers. Historical energy and event records are saved in non-volatile onboard memory.

Onboard components

Main measurement control board, CT adapter boards, ribbon interconnection cables, voltage sensing terminal block, RS485 communication transceiver, status indicator LEDs.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power present, measurement active, alarm and Modbus communication activity.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Continuous built-in diagnostics detect CT open circuit, signal out of range, supply anomaly and internal hardware fault, and report fault codes through Modbus.

Programming software

EcoStruxure Power Commission software, used for channel tagging, alarm threshold setup, Modbus address configuration and log review.

Electrical & Process Parameters

Mechanical & Structure

Mounting:Inside distribution panel backplate assembly Protection class:IP20 Housing:PCB assembly with metal mounting backplate

Environmental

Operating temperature:-20℃ ~ +60℃ Storage temperature:-40℃ ~ +85℃ Ambient humidity:5~95% non‑condensing Certification:CE, UL compliant Status:Schneider Electric original power monitoring spare

Installation

Secure the backplate assembly inside the cabinet, install split-core CTs on each branch conductor following polarity marks. Route ribbon cables between main board and adapter boards, wire main voltage input. Configure CT ratio and alarm limits before enabling data logging. Clean CTs periodically to avoid sediment buildup.

Interface

Branch CT ribbon connectors, main voltage input terminals, RS485 Modbus terminals, status indicator interface.

Diagnostic

All channels no reading: Main voltage supply missing or main board failure. Single channel zero reading: CT open circuit, reversed CT polarity, broken ribbon wire. Unstable readings: Loose CT clamp, pipe vibration or electrical noise. Modbus offline: Incorrect node address, missing bus termination or damaged communication wiring.
