Module Feature

RGF36160CU31AAA is a 3-pole molded case circuit breaker belonging to Schneider Electric PowerPacT R series. It is equipped with Micrologic 3.0 electronic trip unit for adjustable long-time overload and instantaneous short-circuit protection. It adopts busbar type terminal connection, rated 1600A continuous current, suitable for main distribution feeders and large non-motor loads. Auxiliary switches, shunt trip and undervoltage release accessories can be installed. It complies with UL489 and CSA standards, widely used in factory switchgear, commercial building main distribution panels and substation auxiliary power systems.

Working principle

Current sensing transformers inside the breaker monitor line current continuously. The Micrologic trip unit compares measured current against configured protection thresholds. When overload or short-circuit condition is detected, the trip mechanism releases the contact assembly to open the main contacts and isolate the fault circuit. Protection parameters can be adjusted locally on the trip unit.

LED indicators

Installation

Install breaker vertically inside switch cabinet. Torque busbar connection to specified value. Set overload pickup and instantaneous trip parameters according to distribution design. Test trip function after installation. Inspect contact temperature and arc chamber periodically.

Diagnostic
