Module Feature

PJA36080U44A belongs to Schneider Electric PowerPacT P frame molded case circuit breaker series.

It is 3-pole, rated current 800A, rated voltage 600VAC, equipped with Micrologic electronic trip unit, supports long time, short time and instantaneous protection curve adjustment. It can be configured with Modbus communication accessory for electrical parameter monitoring and fault uploading. Supports I-Line bus mounting or lug connection, compatible with a full set of accessories such as auxiliary switch, alarm switch, shunt trip and undervoltage release. It is widely used as main and feeder protection spare for factory, data center and building low voltage power distribution cabinet.

Working principle

Built-in current transformers sample three-phase current and send signals to Micrologic trip unit.

When overload, short time delay or short circuit fault occurs, the trip unit releases the operating mechanism to separate main contacts and cut off fault circuit. Communication option transmits real-time current, power and fault event data to upper SCADA system. Mechanical latch prevents reclosure after fault trip.

Onboard components

Main contact assembly, arc extinguishing chamber, CT current sensor, Micrologic electronic trip controller, operating mechanism, trip release coil, auxiliary/alarm contact set, molded thermoset insulated housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power, communication status, overload pre-alarm and fault trip. Local display screen shows measured electrical values and fault codes.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects trip unit power loss, communication interruption, CT abnormal and internal circuit fault. Fault information can be checked on local display or EcoStruxure Power software.

Programming software

EcoStruxure Power Commission, used for protection curve setting, Modbus address configuration and fault log review.

Installation

Follow specified wiring torque and phase sequence requirement.

Set protection coordination parameters according to upstream and downstream equipment, perform trip and communication function test before energizing.

Diagnostic

Overload pre-alarm: Continuous load exceeds long time setting value, check downstream load. Instantaneous trip: Downstream short circuit fault, inspect cable and load equipment. Communication offline: Modbus wiring error, IP address conflict or trip unit hardware failure.
