Module Feature

TSXH5744MC is a redundant hot standby processor belonging to Schneider Modicon Premium PLC series.

It is designed for single rack (6/8/12 slots) configuration with 4 communication channels. It supports maximum 2048 discrete I/O points and 256 analog I/O points, and can handle 20~60 simple PID control loops. It integrates 10/100 Ethernet TCP/IP, RS485 serial link and USB interface, adopts hot-swap architecture, widely used in power, chemical and water treatment redundant control cabinets.

Working principle

Two identical TSXH5744MC processors run synchronously.

The master CPU executes control logic and exchanges real-time runtime data with the standby CPU. Once the master fails, the standby takes over control automatically without interruption of production interlock and regulation. It uploads alarm, event and process data to upper host through Ethernet.

Onboard components

Main control CPU core, memory module, Ethernet communication circuit, RS485 serial driver, USB interface, status LED array, backplane bus connector, metal shielded circuit board.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power supply, run status, redundant sync state, communication fault and system alarm.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects backplane bus error, sync data mismatch, communication dropout and internal hardware fault. Fault records and CPU status can be viewed via Unity Pro engineering software.

Programming software

Schneider Unity Pro, used for PLC logic programming, redundant parameter configuration, online monitoring and firmware download.

Installation

Cut off cabinet power before replacement, insert the CPU into designated slot and lock. Connect backplane bus, verify redundant synchronization and automatic switchover function before commissioning.

Diagnostic
