T1005020 Temperature Transmitter Unit

Module Feature

T1005020 is field mounted compact temperature transmitter assembly for industrial process monitoring.

It supports Pt100 RTD or multiple thermocouple input types, converts resistance or millivolt signal from temperature sensor to standard 4-20mA analog output. It is loop powered from the receiving AI card, with built-in surge and EMC protection. It can be installed directly near the sensing point to reduce signal interference caused by long thermocouple wiring. It supports configurable range, sensor burnout detection and zero drift compensation. It is widely stocked as maintenance spare for petrochemical, power plant and engine test skid.

Working principle

RTD or thermocouple sends raw temperature signal to the transmitter input circuit.

Internal conditioning chip executes linearization and cold junction compensation, then converts temperature value to 4-20mA loop signal. The analog signal is transmitted to DCS or PLC AI module for temperature display, trending and alarm interlock. If sensor wire breaks, the transmitter outputs fixed upscale or downscale fault current for system alarm.

Onboard components

Signal conditioning MCU, RTD/TC input circuit, linearization algorithm unit, surge protection circuit, status LED, sensor terminal block, M12 or threaded electrical connector, stainless steel transmitter housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power supply normal, sensor fault and overrange alarm status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Built-in supervision detects sensor open circuit, short circuit, signal out of calibration range and internal circuit fault. Fault status can be read from host control system.

Programming software

Transmitter configuration software / handheld calibrator, used for sensor type selection, range setup and calibration.

Installation

Stop equipment and isolate sensor wiring before replacement.

Select correct sensor type and measuring range, use shielded two-wire cable, perform zero and span calibration after commissioning.

Interface

Sensor input terminal, M12 / threaded electrical signal connector, 2-wire loop power connection.

Diagnostic

Fixed fault current output: Sensor open/short circuit or wiring damage. Temperature reading drift: Calibration offset, wrong sensor type selected or cold junction error. No output: Loop power missing or internal transmitter circuit burnout.
