Module Feature

VLPSX-100P3-HCM is a compact Velconic servo amplifier manufactured by Toshiba TOEI. It adopts dedicated V/C ASIC hardware loop processor for fast current and speed response, equipped with multi-notch filter and TFC vibration suppression algorithm to reduce mechanical resonance. It supports pulse-direction position command, analog speed/torque command, 5 programmable digital inputs and 3 digital outputs. Comprehensive protection includes overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, overload, encoder error and heatsink overtemperature. Widely stocked as spare for CNC machine, packaging machinery and semiconductor handling automation.

Working principle

AC input is rectified to DC bus, IGBT inverter outputs PWM modulated power to servo motor. The hardware ASIC executes high-speed current loop and speed loop calculation separately. Encoder feedback signal is collected for closed-loop flux and position regulation. Internal fault monitoring circuit will trigger safe shutdown and lock output once abnormal condition is detected. Fault codes and operating parameters can be read by dedicated configuration software.

Onboard components

Rectifier assembly, IGBT power module, Velconic V/C ASIC control chip, encoder signal transceiver, analog/pulse input circuit, cooling fan, status LED bank and metal plastic composite housing.

LED indicators

Front LEDs indicate power, servo ready, enable, alarm and fault status.

Hardware self‑diagnosis

Drive monitors DC bus voltage, output current, encoder feedback signal, internal temperature and I/O circuit status. Gain, electronic gear ratio and control mode can be adjusted locally or by software.

Installation

Cut off power supply before replacement. Connect main power, motor cable, encoder and control signal wiring, run motor identification auto-tune, test positioning, speed response and protection trip function after commissioning.

Diagnostic

Overcurrent alarm: Motor short circuit, cable insulation breakdown or acceleration gain too high. Encoder fault: Encoder cable open, wiring error or encoder failure. Vibration alarm: Resonance frequency mismatched, need adjust notch filter parameter.
